I've heard mixed thoughts about the kiss between Inuyasha and Kagome, and in some degree, I do feel it was out of place. It didn't bother me to an extent, but the episode would have benefited without the kiss and respect Rumiko's decision. Then again, if you're stuck in complete darkness for three days, you'd probably want to kiss the first person who saves you, right?
But moving on...overall, the episode was certainly better than I expected! I did feel the emotion that the characters had and the closure they were able to achieve. I was rather satisfied with the extra screen time that Miroku and Sango were given. I was surprised to see Miroku having an afternoon walk with the kids and was curious to see how Sango was recovering from the pregnancy (in reality, the aftermath of pregnancy is not that forgiving hahaha
What was also interesting was the scene with Koga and Ayame. It was nice to see their happy ending as well.
This was a nice final farewell to the series and I had enjoyed very much.
