Before you read this, I wish you good luck!:salute: It's just what I observed. I always thought that Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, and Sango represented the four souls within the jewel. Ever since I saw the episode where they explain its origin, I noticed a similarity between them and the jewel's souls. The souls are known to be courage, friendship, wisdom, and love.

:XD: In my opinion, Inuyasha represents courage. Isn't it obvious? He doesn't take crap from anyone and he isn't afraid to die if he knows he's protecting someone. He's basically the courage of the group. Not because of his immense power, but because of his striving personality. He lost his desire of power for himself, and ended up focusing on protecting the people he doesn't want to lose. Courage doesn't necessarly mean physical power or strength, but it means the purity and strength of the spirit.

:thanks:Kagome easily shows the soul of friendship. Out of all the characters (besides Shippo) she shows a lot of compassion. Because of that, she was able to get along with Inuyasha and the others easily. When someone is injured, she'll take the time to help heal their wounds, like Koga for example. Even if Kagome had some sort of jealousy towards Kikyo, she took the time to help her escape the cave where Kikyo was trapped in (all you Inuyasha fans who've seen the episode know what I'm talking about) So in other words, she sees past all the bad mistakes of a person and finds a way to help them instead.

;pMiroku represents wisdom of the shikon jewel hahaha. If some of you have seen my deviation [link] , it's basically my explaination in a nutshell. He keeps a balanced life. His precise thinking and well thought out tactics are what show his representation of wisdom. In the anime/manga, He is always the one to find a place for the group to stay for the night, even if it means blackmailing or not telling the truth to the innkeepers/castle lords. But what could they do? He wants to help out, they need a place to stay! :giggle: His quick thinking really saves everyone's asses in battle. I'm not saying he's "Mr. I know everything", becuase he still has a lot to learn. Just seeing him change throughout the series, was what made me admired his character. His decision to change.

:happycry:For love, Sango best represents this catagory. From all that's happened in her life, she has shown different types of love throughout the whole series of Inuyasha. Her love for her friends, her love for her brother, and of course, her love for Miroku. She has lost everything from the beginning, but found a way to keep living to fight for the people she cares for. To me, I see her as one of the most tragic characters in Inuyasha, ranking next to Kikyo. Just by losing her family was tragic. She's pure hearted, seeing that she can never hate Kohaku, no matter how many people he has killed. Even if Miroku's flirtatious attitude gets to her, she still has a desire to be with him. Showing those affections have affected the characters. Kohaku was able to wake up and and regained control over his body, and Miroku has changed, dedicating his life to protecting her. It's amazing of how much love a person can show.

ALRIGHT! ^^;I'll shut up! :blush:I could write a whole essay on this series, but I think all you fans understand enough (hopefully). :O_o: In a way, the Inu group show a little bit of everything, not just one particular soul. They were brought together by the jewel physically, yet I think they were also brought together spiritually. :plotting:Rumiko Takahashi probably intentionally constructed the storyline like this, or I'm just over anaylizing :stupidme:.
